The source: a Draft work plan

Alex is preparing TRAINING-RAMS-001 for the fictional pedestrian-route inspection. Before the plan can be approved, the team needs to confirm which route drawing applies.

  1. Create the action from the plan: select Add action and retain the prefilled source. Use the title “TRAINING — confirm current pedestrian-route drawing”. Describe the required outcome and evidence.
  2. Allocate delivery: create a named Action allocation with a different independent reviewer, an agreed due date and clear acceptance criteria. Both users need the appropriate existing access.
  3. Find the work: open Shared work queue in this assessment. Use My next steps, responsibility and date filters to locate it; open the source to see why it is needed.
  4. Record completion: the named person delivering the action retains the fictional drawing and a completion note. Completing the work does not replace the reviewer’s decision.
  5. Verify: the reviewer checks the agreed evidence and records the permitted decision. Close the allocation and action once their workflow requirements are met.
  6. Return to the plan: Alex checks that all linked preparatory actions and allocations are Closed before submission and independent plan approval.

What if the result is not acceptable?

Record the reason and return the work through its permitted workflow. Retain the source and evidence so the next person can understand what still needs doing. Do not detach an action simply to bypass a review gate.

What if the source is an NCR?

Completing the corrective actions is part of the response. The NCR also requires independent verification and an effectiveness review after the agreed observation period. Action completion alone does not close the NCR.

Keep the scope clear

The queue shows supported outstanding work within the selected assessment. It is not a company-wide personnel register or an automatic reminder service. Completed records remain available in their registers.
